911 ST Numbers & Progress
Discussion
Hi,
I’ve been a regular customer of Porsche for 10+ years and have been lucky enough to get allocated a lot of GT cars.
I’ve been waiting for a slot confirmation for the ST for the last few months, or equally confirmation to put me out of my misery :-)
I had initially put my hopes out of my head given that they are only building 1963 cars, and that there has already been a significant number of ST’s been seen on the road globally now.
However, I got a call from my Porsche dealership 2 weeks ago to say that they were still very hopeful that I would get a slot.
There are still so many variables at play in my head. I follow this account daily and surprised to see that even though he seems to have covered every single car I’ve ever seen pop up on different channels and magazines, his number is still only 170 / 1963. I’m aware that many won’t make social media or the public eye, and many are still in production but I still thought the number would be higher. I know, I need to get a life, or a new hobby :-)

How many ST’s do you think have already been built or assigned for… or how many slots are likely to be unallocated for yet? And what is your number based on?

The plaque number is a red herring as that can be chosen by the buyer if the number they want is still available at time of request. Lots of S/T's are being built right now and have been for the last few months so they are currently/soon being delivered. My dealer got his first S/T allocation in mid 2023, then a second in November 2023. I was surprised to find out recently that the same dealer was told he would get a third car a few months ago but that the car still hasn't materialised in his order system.I’ve been a regular customer of Porsche for 10+ years and have been lucky enough to get allocated a lot of GT cars.

Edit: I forgot to add that USA and some other smaller ROW markets must have their S/Ts built by the end of 2024 due to certain local regulations which means that there will definitely be S/T's built in 2025.
