Sounds like it might be better to look for a well cared for example as the prices of these are quite low now.

I know from experience, buying a cheap Boxster S that needed suspension and a host of other faults, easily spent 7K on parts alone!

By comparison, I recently bought an 07 Range Rover Sport, TDV8, one owner, full service history which is absolutely immaculate and doesn’t need anything doing to it for £7K.

I’m sure your car will consume cash quite easily. Good luck.
