Chaps, the hot blower has stopped working on my Taycan and Porsche cannot get it in for 3 weeks (January nest year if I want a loan car) and advised me to call Porsche assist (The AA), they have attended and have advised as it is a high voltage part then cannot fix it and referred me back to Porsche, I am unable to use the car as the screen mists up, what is the actual purpose of Porsche assist? Is it to get you back on the road again?
Thanks
Andy

I was under the impression if they cannot get the car working they'd then take it to nearest OPC. Loan car part is a bit of a grey area, I think the T&C's of porsche Assist mention 5day loan, but not 100% sure. I do know that unless you've got a good OPC you'll be lucky to get anything!

I had a streak of issues (the same cause) on my Macan and every time I rang Porsche assist they sent the AA and took the car to the OPC (JCT600 too, actually).

I always had a loan car delivered. First time it was a Porsche. The rest of the time various Audis

The OPC should have a pool of loan cars so if recovered back by PA you should get one (subject to availability Sir)

The secret is to get Porsche Assist (AA) to recover your car to the OPC.

I had a problem on my 992 where the heater box behind the dash failed leading to water dripping into the drivers footwell, and clearly I didn’t want to drive the car in this condition. I called up the OPC who told me they could see me in 2 months(!). When I told them that was totally unacceptable, they advised calling Porsche Assist and if they recovered the car to the OPC then a new process kicked in and I would be treated with higher priority. So I called Porsche Assist, a nice AA man came out, I explained the situation then I drove my Porsche to the OPC following his van. This was registered as a “recovery”, I received a courtesy car, and they started looking at my car the next day.
