I want to get the wheels repainted on my 718 Spyder. There’s nothing wrong with them mechanically, but they’re black and I want to swap to either porsche weissgold or anthracite. I bought the car as the second owner two years ago and love the spec other than the wheel colour.

I did some pistonheads googling as I thought I’d seen various names come up over the years, but nothing obvious leapt off the page.

I’m based in Farnham, Surrey and ideally it would be a collection service (the wheels and tyres are on the car), temporary wheels on the car and then return and refit a week later. The car is in great condition and also has ceramic brakes so keen to get someone known for their quality/service to be working on it and taking wheels off/on.

Any recommendations based on your experiences?

I have always used gt wheel refurb in the south east. Fantastic work and normally drive in a day without me needing to be involved. They come to the house. The chap who does it was a CNC parts fabricator for Red Bull Racing F1 so knows his stuff. Great value.

Gtwheelrefurb dot com is their website

Porsche Reading use Platinum Alloys in Swindon if that helps.

I’ve used them, good service and they have courtesy cars

Premier Panel Skills in Farnham are Porsche approved. Did some wheels for me very nicely a few years back.

Is Chris operating? Had an email from him last year saying he wasn't in the game now. Has that changed and he's back in business?
