What is selling well at present / pick me a car. GT3?
Discussion
Planning to buy my next car, just sold a 987 boxster.
Despite it being, what I think, in excellent condition and well priced, took an age to sell
Looking to spend probably 50-100.
Must be rear wheel drive, manual, ulez.
Had a good few 911s from SC to 997 but feel a little out of touch now that the range has widened up ..GTS....T.....
Do quite fancy:
996 / 997 gt3...
But my fear is being stuck with it if it's not as expected.
I have seen a white 997 at Romans St Alban's that seems to have been there a good while.
Others that look interesting are the T, GT4, Spyder.....

Depends what you want it for…GT3’s are awesome but most people wouldn’t want one to use regularly. If you are worried about being stuck with it you need to buy a car that is and always will be in high demand…
997 that probably means
Manual 997.2 GTS
997.2 GT3 Clubsport
Manual and low mileage very good spec 997.2 Carrera/S.
991.1
Manual 2wd Carrera GTS
991.2
Carrera T in a driver focused spec

Cheers all, have just checked the above, can't believe the price of the 997 GTS, and just the rarity of manuals.
Shows how out of touch I am, think this may take longer than I thought.
I do like the look of this:

But is there something inherently wrong with the spec?

A GT car needs buckets!
agreed, but even more rare, but if you can get one for a fare price, do it, they are worth a premium.yes a good low mileage 997.2 GTS manual is rare and expensive, you often wonder, should I pay a bit more for the 997.2 GT3...
but I guess the GT3 asks you to let it scream... while a GTS has power almost everywhere I guess, so more useful, also you can get a powerset on the GTS, so.... hard choice, depends what roads/use you have for it.

far better spec here for that budgetShows how out of touch I am, think this may take longer than I thought.

and use the £10K saving for a set of buckets (if its that important)

Neither car is the type of GT3 that is going to most in demand though….eg OEM and Clubsport.
personally I would like a 997 GT2 prices are still 'low' and just 1200ww made, yes same price in NL or Germany as a 991 GT3 500hp, and the GT3 will be more hard? no idea, but a GT2 will be more usable, more power low down and not need to scream the rpm range for fun I guess.
give the 530hp a tune to around 600 or RS 620hp like and you have a serious rare missile... which will go up, even when the market is saturated, it will be a collectors item and with just 1200 made and GT2 its not bad.
some lovey examples out there and see a video wit such tuned one 620hp on the web, a Dutch guy who talks English made a nice video, his name is Max I believe, no not Max Verstappen, but still.

100% agree here, dependent on precise budget. GT3 is naturally a smaller audience, but great cars just tough on regular roads for too long or too often.997 that probably means

997.2 GT3 Clubsport

But 997 GT2s are generally substantially over £100k while OP's budget is in range 50-100k.give the 530hp a tune to around 600 or RS 620hp like and you have a serious rare missile... which will go up, even when the market is saturated, it will be a collectors item and with just 1200 made and GT2 its not bad.

My choices would be
1. 997 GT3 comfort spec.
2. Cayman GT4
3. 997 GTS
4. Boxster Spyder
5. 997 C2 manual (50% of the budget 90% of the fun)
