Hi all,

I’m in the market for the latest gen (B9) RS4 for winter duties and kids etc.
However I suddenly thought about the panamera turismo (possibly hybrid) instead.

My driving is mostly b roads and a roads . Has anyone owned both and could comment about the pros and cons?

I've owned a couple of B9 RS4s and driven Panamera's. From a drivers perspective the most noticeable benefits of the Panamera were better suspension on our roads and better brakes. Plus a better looking interior. RS4 is great though, I've got a real soft spot for them. I had the original B9 and then the facelift, for some reason I much preferred the earlier car. They seemed to spoil the ride quality in the facelift, and make the engine even more muted.

I have driven both and owned a RS4 B9 for 4 years and 40K (has a RS6 before). I would go RS4 for your use, not least because it's not so wide. Both great cars.

ditto

I've been tempted many times by the Panamera ST but (I live in London) the RS4 is just a better size and really feels the (substantial) amount lighter that it is when pushing on a bit

I also think they're great value relative to some of their competitors (I'm looking at you M4 touring)
