Newbie in this forum - looking to buy a 2009 Carrera S 997-2. The car is far away from where I live, so looking to get a PPI done by someone who can be trusted.

- can anyone suggest good place in and around Manchester for PPI? It will be even better if I can find someone who can travel to the car, as the car is on SORN for last 1-2 months
- any idea what the cost range would be for a PPI?
- the car has only run 2-3K miles each per year in last 3 years, would that hint any problem? Total mile age is 60K though

Appreciate any suggestions or help on this please

thanks

Unique porsche in westhoughton, near-ish to Manchester.
They used to do a mobile service, but i dont know if they still do (they’re now in a bigger unit and always seem busy).

Hartech are based in Bolton so are pretty close to Manchester.

Ninemeister or Unit11 are in Warrington so dependent on exactly where in Manchester the car is the ones above cover off most regions.

They need the car (close to Alderley Edge) which might not work but worth making work if you can.

Thank all, very helpful!

Looks like I need to talk to the owner if he can tax the car so that it can be driven to a place for PPI.

I tried ringing Unique Porsche to find out if they do mobile service - but they never pickup!

Unique doesn't do mobile service anymore frown.
Even for in garage check it is a month waiting time it seems!. Hartech is yet to get back to me, but I would assume same kind of waiting time.

An independent Porsche specialist person would be ideal. Any suggestions agin please?

thanks in advance

I'd also second Sports & Classic. Brutally honest about a cars condition...

I think the owner needs to tax it so it can be test driven....

I didn't even know you could still buy a 997.2 in 2015.

What is the build date of that car?

Another nod to Mike at Sports and Classic. Might be worth asking if he has some trade plates. Would save the car needing to be taxed.

@Ed.Neumann - you are right its 2009. Sorry that was a mistake in my original post, corrected. I was looking at a 2015 Cayenne Turbo at the same time and got mixed up lol.

No, I just got one login. But I changed username after initial registration and looks like it took some time to reflect the change smile
