Some of the warning light areas have become cracked on my 964 instrument dials. Any ideas where I can source replacement dial covers?

I've found this :

http://www.type-911.co.uk/images/carinteriors/dials964silver.jpg

Which is no good as it's for a car with a computer, hence the large gap in the speedo and it's silver.

So I need black face, KPH, no computer any ideas?

I know you can get replacement dial clusters but they are silly prices.

Can't remember the name but there is ALWAYS an ad in 911&PW for a company that do this - a quick hunt should find it. Happy to look in an old copy tonight if you don't have one, and my 9 month old hasn't entirely eaten it yet ...

Just as well because it wasn't in the current issue ... in spite of my confident claim.

cheers

Paul.

this place in america sell genuine VDO instrument faces in black(and any other colour) in any combination

www.paspeedo.com/porschecustomcoloring.htm

I could not find VDO faces anywhere else.

If you want to replace them all teh RUF ones are rather nice

Julian Reap did my dials for me. Very nice guy and actually came to the car. He did the original dials for some RHD 993s from memory, so he is pukka. Not too pricey either. You can even get the rev counter done to sweep up to 7k rather than around and down to 7k, so max revs is in your eyeline.

What sort of dials did you go for Domster? I'm interested in the aluminium factory type dial faces. Roughly how much did it cost you?
