Cayenne tailgate opens whilst driving

My tailgate opened whilst I was driving this morning. Has anyone experienced the same and, if so, why?

Supprised that can happen if not in P etc. Are you sure it was properly closed?

I believe when they first came out. Water could get into the electrics for the rear wiper assembly and cause such problems.
