Who has decided to extend, or not extend their warranty and why?

Mine is up for renewal, and although I'd like to think my 981 is made of granite, it has actually broke down in the past and was taken to a local OPC on a flat bed. Not only that but my last gen 2 Cayman had most of its parts replaced by the extended warranty, everything from suspension to gearbox cables to xenon ballasts. I loved the car to bits but it had an awful lot go wrong with it.

Having said all that, my parking sensors are broke and OPC can't/won't fix it because they magically start working again every time they inspect the car.

Thanks.

From my point of view I don't mind the occasional bill from an independent garage or specialist, but my sole purpose of the warranty is peace of mind against engine or PDK failure.

A new engine is approximately £18k (not sure about PDK), I could not afford that under any circumstances.

Chances of needing a new engine though?

If mine went I'd probably get a loan and modify the hell out of it!
