Had a morning session out there Friday, brilliant instructor and 4 cyl turbo 718 cars, Caymans/Boxsters, what a hoot.

I was a bit cynical about these new 4 cyl cars but actually they go ok and have a lovely turbo whistle to listen to, I loved trying to nurse it around that low grip circuit they have, I guess my instructor could see some improvements/fun for me because we spent ages going around there. Really nice cars to drive and relatively easy to slide around under control even for me.

I'm sure some of what I learned is going to help me on this year's bike trackdays.

Oh, and funny bit was the little sales pitch at the end "So would you like to place an order Sir?" They didn't expect "Yes please I've been trying to buy a new GT3 but you won't sell me one -- happy to fill in the order form now..." They had no answer for that

Glad you enjoyed the PEC experience; its great fun. Have been a few times & prior to PEC; Porsche used Millbrook. Now that was great fun going round the 'bowl' with hands off the steering wheel at 90mph.

However, not sure i would go from wanting a new GT3 to purchasing a 718.

Aha I was not clear -- I'm not buying a 718, rather when they asked if I wanted to order a Porsche I said basically yes, a GT3 please, if you'll sell me one.

I did milbrook a few years ago too, enjoyed this PEC a lot more.

If you buy that 718 they're keen to sell you, they'll send you back for a half day session!

There seems to be a mindset that it's the badge not the model that counts.
