Key fob transponder thing

I have my new Cayenne for about a month now and I am struggling to think where to keep the transponder thing that comes with the car. The dealer says I should not leave it in the car and have it with me all the time.

Anyone who has this where do you keep it wallet, pocket, pants!?

It's not very thick so leave mine in wallet

I lost mine last weekend....was tucked into my wallet. Got pissed at Eng v Scotland and realised I'd lost it when I drove the car on Monday morning when I got the "your Porsche has been stolen" text.

I've been wondering the same thing. If the car always needs to be near the transponder when it's running, would the key ring be the best place?

Not if you have a break in and they steal the car keys. Although with the new PCM you can track where your car is anyway (and set alerts if its driven) with the App so it's a bit of a moot point how useful these are anyway.

Fair point although a thief might also take your wallet.

It's not a very practical system if it requires the owner to lug it separately. My transponder is too fat for my wallet anyway.

mine is sellotaped to the key-ring, no problems with forgetting!
Worth considering, if left in a wallet it can mess with any credit/debit card rendering them unreadable - I have had this problem.

Which could have insurance implications in the event of a claim if you are receiving a discount on the premium because of the Tracker system or if a tracking system is an insurance requirement.

That small pocket in a pair of jeans could have been designed for this in mind - fits perfectly!!
