Should I put a flywheel in my 997??

The latest huge bill to befall me deserves some comment.
I have an '06 997 C2S with 37k miles. It's a peach - but is costing me a fortune. The latest debacle is a misfire which it turns out is caused by the loom chafing against an a/c pipe and wearing through. The replacement section of the harness costs £75 but in order to replace it the engine has to come out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! as it isn't accessible otherwise.
So, as the car also has (probably) a worn out clutch release bearing (it clicks/knocks when cold) and is ten years old with a stiff/heavy clutch pedal I agreed with the garage to put a clutch kit in it while the engine is out - why wouldn't I? My question though is this, if the flywheel is within tolerance should I replace it anyway? The flywheel is c£500+ so it's quite a big cost, but a wasted saving if I don't replace it now and have to later anyway.
