Intermittent Coasting on Macan Diesel

I have a 6 week old Macan Diesel and notice that the coasting function seems to have a mind of it's own. This was never a problem in my previous 991. I've managed 44 mpg, then 36 on the same journey due to the coasting not working. Do any other owners have the same problem? Ps. I've done 1700 miles btw.

Coasting function is inhibited by SPORT/SPORT PLUS mode and if the engine ecu intervenes - diesel dpf regeneration for example.

Also inhibited if you switch off the auto stop/start on my Cayenne Diesel

I've also noticed that this does not work when temperature very cold too ( engine warm up)
