Cayenne S E-Hybrid mpg

Had a new Hydrid to try for a couple of hours which I liked. Have to say in stop start traffic on a blocked M11 it was brilliant.
It only had 4 miles in the batteries when I collected so set it on E charge to top up. On mixed driving topping up this returned 18.6 mpg. I then used up 9 miles of charge before engine kicked in again and when I returned it had averaged 24.5 mpg.
I need to assess my journey profile but if doing lots of local round trips from full charge at home the engine my rarely start, obviously on longer round trips of say 200 miles without pinching some "free" charge at the destination the engine would do most of the work and a 3lt petrol is not going to be as good as a diesel on these occasions.
Anyone got any real world figures with a mixed driving pattern? Current 4.8 S is returning 16-17 mpg at best but makes a nice noise!
