Are Porsche bike racks sided?

I have two and fitted one this morning. Everything is fine and the key lock and wrench knob are facing me and easy to operate. When I went to fit the second rack the key lock and wrench knob are "inside the car" in the middle of the roof and very awkward to use. I thought this can not be correct.

Any thoughts?

I have no idea if they are handed. Can`t you turn the second one around (so the bike faces the opposite direction of the first bike) and thus the lock will then face outboard?

Sorry if I`ve missed something.

As suggested above - you can put the second one on "backwards" which gives you access.

Alternatively you can switch the carrier over so they are handed

it depends which type you have - older ones were made by mont blanc, instructions are here

http://www.montblancgroup.com/roof-mounted/254-roo...

page 13 onwards from the PDF download on that page.

The newer ones look like thule to me - and they can definitely be handed.

Sided so that two bikes can fit across the roof......

If you have MTB's the bars interfere if they're both fitted forwards.

They will be made by Mont Blanc or Thule or someone - I know on a lot of the Thule ones you can strip them down and rebuild them the opposite way round.
