PCM keeps resetting

Hi there,

My wife has just come home from work, and she was having issues with the stereo enroute. For some reason it seems to reset every 2 mins or so, screen lighting up with the Porsche logo, then just going off again. It won't turn on when the power button is pressed, none of the other buttons are working either (I.e. Am/FM,CD, presets etc). She had been playing a CD when the problems started, but has managed to get this to eject. It sounds like it is trying to read a disc, then fails and turns off.

The car is a 2005 Boxster, fitted with Bose and I think a PCM 2.1?

Any ideas what could be causing this, and how to fix it? It is very annoying having it recycling every minute or so.

Take it to your local OPC. I'm sure they'd help you out. My PCM had an unusual glitch the other day: the sat nav was quoting miles for the remaining distance but kilometres for the next turns. It returned to normal though a few days later.
