Gorgeous. It's barely got anything original left, though, apart from the engine, chassis and panels. I would prefer a replica without a 20 year old 76k engine at that money!

I find the obsession with originality a bit weird. Suspension, ICE etc are very far from being original (which is a good thing). If so, why not just get a newer engine in a replica?

I know the answer is investment potential. I know. But I am thinking about it as a car to drive.

Someone will buy that car, but for me seems a bit toppy on price.

You can do a very, very good backdate for that and have your own spec.

76k miles has no importance or issue on a 993 engine. I'd rather have an original 76k than a messed-about-with anything else.

Blue is a great colour on a 993, and I'll be tempted to wrap or respray mine blue in the future when it needs it.

But those wheels are gash on any 993. Hideous.

From a purely academic perspective, I really like it.

Price is very toppy, although the colour is a big USP. A later 'varioram' with a few less miles might justify it.

Jury is out on the wheels. Think they work, but what would it look like with the black & anodised Fuchs?

The 993 is Riviera blue, the 964 RS is Maritime Blue. I'd take a 964 in Maritime anytime!

Grudgingly I concur. That car will sell its a thing of beauty and a hoot to drive. I'd put it back on Cup II. Who would have thought £100k for a 993 C2. I turned a low miles 993 C2 down in a rare colour a few years ago at £26.5k! I then didn't go for 911 Virgins beauty of a mint green 993 with 40k miles for £45k just 6 months ago! What an idiot I am!

Out of interest why? It's not super low mileage and it hasn't the correct seats, complete with (IMO) iffy non standard wheels.

Put simply, that shade (or similar variants) of blue makes *any* car look gorgeous.

Combine *any* non-dark colour with the simple curves of a 993, and the 993 looks gorgeous.

So putting the two together, you have a double-gorgeous-on-toast combination.

But 100k GBP is just stupid. As someone said above, buy a tired 993 and paint it blue - even with the stupid classic-car prices at the moment, you'd spend less than 100k all-in?

^^^ I prefer the r.blue - red combo on car above. I do love the way 993 owners talk down the value of their cars - I agree they're not worth it lol - pls keep on saying that till i get my mits on one!

I have to agree with you there ^^^. A lot of them do not seem to realise that the wider classic 911 market price wise has gone super silly. But even so, this is a lot of money for a non standard (for investors) C2.

If it had done 76k miles and was black it would be up for 45k ..... As it is, its up there at 'investors' money........ cause it's a lovely shade of blue.

Not overpriced when i see the crazy prices for resto mods and 993 has been undervalued for a while. I think low miles C2 manual 993 will soon be £100k for a minter if they're not already. The 993 had all the 911s faults ironed out over 40 years in a very modern looking interpretation of the 911 - whats not to like. Arguably the perfect 911
