Quick Question re Cayman 3.4S

Hi all,

Have been wanting to pick up a porker for sometime now and have finally decided to bite the bullet, but wanted to get some advice. I have seen a car, the first that I have gone and driven.

The car that I have my eye on is a 2007 Cayman S with a Chrono kit. It has done 22k miles, however was in a wee bump.
Checked out the paperwork and it was a cat D collision - my question is will this affect resale and should I be worried about it?

From what I can gather, impact was on the driver's side and towards the rear of the car - centred on the rear tyre. There has been some repainting, and I clocked that the alloy has been sanded to iron out the grazing(it hasn't yet been relacquered). I also saw that there was a receipt for a rear shock - not too sure if this is a worry or not. From what I gather the repair was not done by Porsche - so have no way of calling up and talking it through.

Aside from that car handled extremely well and had a bit of poke about it. The only other thing that I noticed was that the front skirt, but the looks of things has hit a speed bump, but no real noticeable damage.

The guy in the garage was asking £16.5k with 3 months warranty- is this a reasonable punt?

Slightly green when it comes to this so any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I agree, it's over priced for a Cat D. It will be more difficult to sell and when I considered buying one a few years ago the general view was that a Cat D is worth around 20-30% less.
