Hunt for 996 Turbo

Not for me as I'm well happy with the one I've got but helping someone else in their hunt!

Just wondered if anyone had been to look at this one, or had any experience with this dealer

Looks nice although the black wheels would put me off a little (but that's a personal choice). Any car, especially with a raised spoiler in the photos needs checking the mechanism works and they haven't decided to avoid paying for a repair (which can cost £1k+) by using one of these 'lockout' kits. I've expressed my views on this over on 911uk but it can be an indication the owner is willing to cut corners so if it is indeed broken tread carefully

Just looked at the ad again. Car's 11 years old and only had 5 services (+ another due shortly).
It's 2002 model with service intervals 12 months, or 12k miles, whichever comes first. It should have at least 10 service stamps in the book by now!

Mine is 11 years old and has 12 stamps in the book, just had a major, front brakes and all 6 coil packs, plus a new alternator fitting next week.

The good ones are out there so keep looking till one is found if you're in any doubt. I may decide to go back to air cooled next year if the prices haven't gone bonkers so after what will be 3.5 years of no expense spared ownership I may decide to sell it but what else can make you smile as much for the money?

I'll raise your 12 stamps mate, 12 years old and 16 stamps. Previous owner, Al, was worse than me, LOL.

Leigh's right though OP, patience is required, there are some beauties out there. Owned by sad OCD victims like me, Leigh, Evoslayer.....and many many more.

Over the past 3 years alone mines had turbos replaced, shields, all bolts, turbo oil pipe work, DV's, rads, condensers, clutch accumulator, discs & pads, tyres, all brake pipes, all water pipes, all power steering pipes, steering rack. The list goes on.

Great ones are out there
