Battery time-recomendations

My Bosche battery which is an S4007 Silver 72AH is on its way out. Anyone recomend a cheap source for a replacement. My local motor factors want £94 quid for one and I'm a tight git so looking to save a bit if possible.

I wouldn't waste your time with a 72Ah battery. Go for an 80/85Ah with a cold cranking amp (CCA) capacity at least 800Amps.

I put one of these on my 996 C2. When I bought my car it had an almost new 72Ah battery and the cranking speed was too slow and the down time only lasted about 5 days in cold weather. The 84Ah is a much better product. It is slightly heavier of course.

You should be able to get one for about £95 with a 4 year warranty.

Cheers Guy's sorted now. Went for the same battery that I already have as its lasted 5 years without a battery conditioner anyway. Got the discount price.

Always check carparts4less as this is Euro Car Parts sister site and I tend to find them a bit cheaper especially when ECP has discount codes (they increase the base price to offset the discount)
