regent street motor show am vantage V12s and the 911 @50

just returned from the show and the 50 years of 911 was a real poor show,however aston martin laid on a fantastic display of old and new and I fell in love with a vantage v12s in what looked like riveria blue,am I going mad!!!as I never been a a big aston fan.

Went to this show in Regent Street and had a very interesting morning with my son(24) and daughter(19)
We found the veteran cars amazing considering their age.
My education of my offspring has been found to be sadly wanting. In looking at the engine of one car I found out they did not know what a carburettor was and how it worked.

Talked to one learned gentleman and asked what these cars are worth, the car we were talking about at the time was an American steamcar and he quoted £230000
The most expensive car there was a Napier 100 and the £millions were several

Thought the Porsche 911 section was very poor, only about 6 cars there including two 991's the Martini decaled one looked horrible.

Plenty of Astons, the brand new ones did look smart

The electric cars nonsense did not interest me

I thought there were going to be a couple of ruf's there including a yellow bird......I was thinking of going to see them. Kinda glad I didn't now

There was one Ruf, it was OK but perhaps an acquired taste.

Odd (surprised) how good the 996TTS looked in the company of the other cars!

In reality more and more interesting cars at any Ace Porsche night.

But Astons were all over the place, shame the new ones all look the same...

But that's the same model, not the entire range that you can't tell apart without reading the badge or being an utter Aston-geek.
