Hold the front page...has the "bug price" gone?

The forum changes I have no control over and I will have to take your word for Arsenal pulling their socks up.
The Bug price I do have some control over however
The reality is that this isn't quite the overnight decision you may think, rather evolution over a period of time. The Bug price was created the thick end of 15 years ago and it worked well. It allowed us to play a very open hand whilst still catering for more independent buyers.
We have never just bought in stock and put it up for sale, we have always added value through preparation and as time has gone on the level of preparation has increased. We have also evolved our buying criteria over the past decade. We embraced diagnostic technology a long time ago and we have listened to people's concerns when buying a Porsche particularly in relation to the hidden elements of the cars.
It got to a point where we were offering a car which was as good as any specialist and yet people assumed we still just gave the cars a wash and sent them on their way. In recent years my brother Tom has been running the day to day buying and selling activity alongside Dan and more recently Terry. His vision was total customer care. If someone has a problem it's our problem and so regardless of how the car was purchased we resolved any issues.
Over time Specialists have come and gone and they always talk a good game when it comes to the quality of cars they sell and the support they claim to offer. On the face of it we appeared to under deliver by comparison when in reality we have been matching and exceeding them in recent times. We've probably been a bit too modest.
We work hard to buy in good cars and we look after people before, during and after purchase. We felt it was time to reflect that in our pricing and the promises we make to potential customers.
The website was the final piece in the jigsaw.

The difference between our bug and retail price was £2,000 so all the cars are at least £1,000 cheaper than our old retail price.I was chatting to someone on Saturday who had been looking privately with a price spread of 16,200 - £17,400. Our car was £17,000. Direct price comparison with used cars is always difficult but when compared like for like I hope we still offer good value for money.

within theory no back up on it though, even though 911V stood by their cars (so they said), I know a few people who had to buy their own parts within 3 months if the car was bought at bug price and a bit failed.
Also that was stated in the adds that the car was really "sold as seen", and therefor why I also said it was not legal to sell like this time and time again on here.
but no one ever agreed with that no surprise. (but that's how it was written on the web site)
I for one am very happy to see the bug price gone and for buyers now to know what they are getting.
I would not have bought from them before and never have, but I would buy from 911V now that stupid non legal selling plan has gone. :-)

t idea (took 15 years), either that or that have been caught out with it and been done by trading standards lol.
why they have changed we will never know, but it's 100% for the better, price rise or not, it now look's legal

which says to me they did not back all the cars when sold bug price and to offer "real back up" prices have had to go up as seen below in his other quote.

really meaning they did not stand buy the cars sold bug price.
