Help Please - Indicator problem - 996 Turbo

When indicating left repeater flashes much faster than it normally does! Near side indicator in lamp housing unit not working but side repeater is!
Offside works normally.
Changed the bulb and cleaned up the connection.
Also tried changing the fuse but everything else on that circuit fine.
Anyone else had and solved this problem?

I don't wish to state the obvious but have you checked if there is power getting to the lamp that's not working?

Usually a lamp connector issue for that fault. Try removing the headlight and wiggling the connector that should be secured to the headlight carrier, if it's secure spray a small amount of WD40 (or similar) onto the seal around the connector and into the connector in the lamp itself. Make sure the lamp is fitted correctly on the rails when you push it back in.

I found the the metal lugs the contacts on the bulb touch need gently teasing out when i had the issue. The whole lense comes out via the crank handle in the bonnet ( pull trim back) & then the indicator bulb socket comes out with 1/4 turn. You can then access the lugs with an electrical screwy.

I had the same try removing and reseating the headlight then push in again/use the tool to lock

Thanks to everyone who offered advice.
Problem now solved
Removed the head lamp unit again, took the indicator bulb out and bent the metal connector out slightly with a small screwdiver. Replaced the head lamp unit but no go! Repeated the procedure this time bending the connector out a little more. Replaced the head lamp unit and this time it worked!!
