Finding 'rare' cars
Discussion
Quite a few of the independent garages say that if you tell them what car you're looking for, they'll find it for you. I'm fed up of hunting around for a flatnose, so am considering using one or more of these guys. I've never done this before and if there are some pitfalls to this approach I'd appreciate knowing them beforehand.
Thanks

Car is going very well (frightening sometimes!!). I have covered about 700 miles since I bought it and I have no complaints, even the dealer has been on the phone to ensure I am happy.
I was thinking of changing the exhaust as I would like a different sounding system. Send me a mail if you want to meet up and go for a spin.

Turbofree's 993tt was from Chiswick AFN, and is in quite a unique colour for the car - riviera blue. Lovely example, and AFN gave good service at a reasonable price from what I gather.
Try searching at the official porsche.com website for UK dealer stock. There are a few 993tts kicking about still.

As Domster says I bought the car from AFN in Chiswick. Both the pre and after sales service have been excellent although I did pay top dollar for the car.
To give you an example of the service one or two of the wheels had little marks on them, not huge scratches not even really visible but the dealer wanted to put them right.
About 3 months ago I bought a 993 C2 from an independent dealer and the service I received was OK but just OK if you get my meaning. If I am honest the reason I changed the car so quickly was I always wanted a Turbo and kind of regretted not buying so I just took the plunge and bought it. As UV would say just do it!
