996 Turbo cooling fans

Both my cooling fans have stopped working, is it safe to continue driving, while sorting out the problem?

Should be as long as you keep moving and don't press on. Basically the fans are there to make up for lack of movement of air in traffic and the like, and any time the coolant temp rises. Don't use the AC either, or rather, turn it off.

I wouldn't drive the car. While the car appears to have very good aerodynamics and thus when moving the coolant temperature stays down I'd not risk it. Overheat the engine and the replacement can run $30K.

Get the car to a shop and get the fans sorted. The tech will check for fan stage errors at the DME. But my Turbo's DME had none logged but the driver's side fan was not working right and I had it replaced. The new one works just fine now.
