Just had a go in one - Jesus H Christ, it's awesome. The brakes are simply epic (they're massive). And my god it's quick, but I was amazed by how docile it is overall. PDK is predictably brilliant and it corners very, very well - I'd love to take one on track to see what it can really do.
It even sounds good - not as nice as one of the NA cars, granted but it does pop and cackle on the overrun in sports plus mode and it sounds nice when pressing on.
I really like it, just not sure it's worth £140k - the std turbo is almost certainly enough and comes with pretty much the same kit anyway apart from sports chrono, PCCB and PDCC.

A few of the journos have suggested the standard 991 Turbo is probably the better buy.
I think this is probably true - S is epic though, the brakes are incredible. However, you have to adjust to them, at low speed, you barely touch them or the retardation shoves your head forward and makes you look like a rank amateur.Koln-RS said:

Weeeell..... I can't get the configurator down to less than 125k on a basic Turbo. And that's leaving out a whole lot of the goodies you'd want. So the way I see it, the Turbo S is 15 grand more for a whole lot more car - you get pretty much the kitchen sink thrown into the basic spec. So seen that way, the Turbo S would be my choice.
