Morning all

Does anyone have experience of the RSS engine mounts?

I have been offered some for less than half price from a friend who sold his car and never fitted them.

Are they worth buying and installing on a car that spends 100% of its time on the road rather than the track?

Cheers

yes they are worth it massive reduction in weight transfer and better gear shift, they will be noiser though

Thanks markiii

How much noisier are they? Is it really noticeable?

for the first 1000 miles or so I was in 2 minds as to whether I could live with them tbh,it wasn;t that there was more vibration, or more exhaust

there was just more noise, not nice noise

that said either I just stopped noticing them or they break in a little and quiet down.

just finished a 3000km road trip and more than happy to live with them now

Have them on GT3 and can not notice any more noise..?

Sharper and cleaner gear shift on track.

Worth while upgrade for sure !

I have them on my 996.2 GT3. Excellent modification, I also changed the gearbox mount at the same time to the latest 997 one. Car feels more stable under hard breaking, acceleration and cornering. Gear changes are more precise (especially 2nd to 3rd under hard acceleration).

I didn't really notice the extra noise TBH. Not like the cup shift cables!

Fitting is easy so if you don't like, swap back to the originals.

Yes the cup cables are not for me either!
