Am looking at buying a boxster spyder with the 19" Spyder wheels. I want to get them painted or I think powder coated gold. I am in weybridge Surrey but would happily travel anywhere for quality job

Can anyone help with someone thy could recommend?

Also would appreciate thoughts on shade of gold.... I do not want the shiny subaru colour more a matt / satin pale gold, maybe something like these rs wheels...? http://www.caranddriver.com/news/2011-porsche-911-...

Any quick response much appreciated - thoughts as well ... I know it won't be to many peoples taste but I think will look good against the white car....as long as its not too bright - but at the same time, not so subtle that you can't notice them

Give Lepsons a call, or Excel Wheels.

Only heard good things about them.

I've been in touch with Excel myself today - just awaiting a reply.

My local garage in Hounslow uses a company called spit and polish who do a great job. Had mine done there and was really pleased. As good a job as lepsons in my opinion.

Thanks guys ...any advice on shade? Really want a pale 'ish satin matt colour but don't wanna get this wrong as too bright is gonna look wrong - and too pale will lose the desired effect

Play safe and just do the 997.2 RS gold colour.

Not that I would do gold on the Spyder, with the silver trim bits, grill surrounds and air intakes, silver wheels go with every thing.
Gold will go with nothing, unless you plan to colour code the silver trim bits to match.

I do like the new more shiny silver finish you see on the newer cars though.

I thought the silver bits on the 987 Boxster just look plain wrong, especially on a solid car (mins is guards) so I had the air intakes on the side done in red, and the ones on the front PU done in satin black to match the rest of the air intakes on the front PU.

Looks way better and would fit with gold wheels.

I have a black C4S and have a strange urge to put gold 19" OZ Alleheritas on it. Am I nuts?

Black and gold works - especially if you remember JPS Lotus Cars

A rather tasty Porsche example

I enquired today about having mine done in the satin Platinum, but a paint code doesn't exist for them apparently.
There may not be one for the gold you want.
