What is the best place to get the exhaust clamps between the silencer and the cat section? Car is a 996 3.4 Carrera.

Wherever you get them, make sure the, bracket, bolts & nuts are stainless steel. Try OPC as well as others as they may be in the same ball park but unless they've changed the specification, the nuts/bolts are zinc plated mild steel so will need replacing with good old st/st.

Word of warning, the kit from http://www.porscheshop.co.uk that I got was utter tosh. Not only were the sleeves too big and wouldn't clamp but the bolt's were not fully threaded,(cheaper bolts over a certain length are usually shanked), so wouldn't tighten. All the parts were mild steel and the bolts I used with my old sleeves went rusty quicker than you'd think.

I ended up keeping my sleeves & bought some stainless nuts and bolts from the local nut & bolt shop. When I sent a feedback email to them advising them of my woes I got precisely fk all back from them, not even an acknowledgement. I would never use them again.

But that's just my experience, other experiences are available.

Thanks guys.

Cornershop any idea what diameter I'd need (not my car so can't check)?

To close this out, my Dad got the clamps for the tailpipes and silencer/cat connection for £40something from ECP. They did him a good deal on Dansk silencers too.
