Hi,

My Cayenne's rear light seal has gone.

The car is currently (right now!) getting its OPC 111 check done, and has passed so an extension is on its way for around £2k for 2 years.

However, I mentioned my rear light is full of condensation- they mentioned the light is not under warrenty.

Any ideas on where I stand with this?

Thanks,
Kam

Seems harsh given what you're spending with them now not to get this looked at even under goodwill.

Below's a list of what's not covered.

Non-exclusive list of parts can be affected by wear and tear:

exhaust system including catalytic converter
spark plugs
drive belt
drive shaft bellows
synchroniser rings
differential lock
clutch incl. release bearing
steering-joint bellows
shock absorbers
tyres
tyre sealing system
wheel bearings
PDCC reservoir
brake pads
brake discs
air conditioning desiccator
refrigerant
all bulbs (excluding Xenon and LED bulbs)
fuses
batteries
wiper blades
floor mats
fire extinguisher
door seals
all filters, hoses, fluids, oils and greases

Light electrics are but not the lens. They all get condensation.

Thabks chap's.
Might source a genuine non faulty item and fit it my self.

Anyway, she passed the 111 point chec- £2.4k later with 2 years warranty.

Next up major service!

Aren't the rear lights sealed units?....they are on the 997.2

I had condensation in both rear lights (58 plate), which were replaced under warranty?

Might be worth a second look?

Will take a look.

I have an original 2nd unit coming in from eBay- hopefully that is more water tight.

At the same time, will inspect the sealing system.

Thanks,
Kam
