Domster, saw you advert in 911 & PW for your number plate.

Can I ask, did you get advice on the asking price or is it based on your own estimation. The reasaon I ask is that I am considering selling a plate as well.

Thanks

Pac

PS. any news on the arrival of your rs yet?

Ha ha, yeah, that is a mix of my own estimation and market prices. Realistically it may be worth a grand or two less, but I really like it and could see it going on my GT2 or supercharged Ultima one day, so I wouldn't let it go for a lot less than I'm asking.

There are only a few decent turbo plates around, and mine is perhaps one of 6 in the UK that actually work well. Of course TUR80 is worth the most, well into five figures. B10WN is nudging five figures, and mine is worth somewhat less.

I am happy to hold on to it, but if someone is spending 80k on a 996TT and they want a decent plate to go with the badge, then they won't mind spending a little bit extra. It isn't really aimed at the 924 turbo crowd

I used to own C20RGY, which looks nice on a C2, but exchanged it for B10VVN when I got the Lotus Carlton.

Domster, don't blame you at all.

I completely agree that if people are in the market for a seriously priced car, then no reason why that should not be affordable.

Let me know how you get on.

Cheers

Before you try to flog that plate, are you sure that it wasn't first registered by the TVR factory since D993PRN was on a roadtest 350i. It may be that your car was used by the factory (or even on a show stand) and as such the original plate may be worth more on your car
