It looks like I need to get new tyres all round. The car's on the 19" Pirelli Rosso's (N1) that it came with from the factory. How much ought a new set cost of these to cost?

It doesn't look like Super Sports are available with the N rating that I will need to maintain the Pork Warranty :-(

Since you need to maintain the warranty and fit N rated you won't do much better than Michelin Pilot Sport 2's and Camskill is about the cheapest http://www.camskill.co.uk/

This is your chance to escape Pirelli and upgrade to PS2.

Not a fan of Pirelli on a 997 turbo then?

A very poor experience by the sound of things. The op, however, shouldn't have any issues such as this since he will be fitting N rated tyres.

Chris at Exel Wheels can supply Michelin PS2s either delivered or fitted, is cheaper than Camskill and you get great service!

Thanks very much. Are there any particular advantages of the PS2 over the Pirellis on the 997.1 turbo? (Sorry if this appears to be a dumb question) I've found the Pirellis' traction very poor until warm, at any ambient temp, and have had "interesting" experiences of them in the wet, letting go far earlier than I'd expect (though they seem to have a better wet rating than the PS2) - just wondered precisely what improvements I can expect from PS2 on this car.

Pretty much every where compaired to the Pirelli's. Significantly more grip in all conditions, better traction and quieter also. The only downside you may notice is that they could wear more quickly but you can't have everything and I'm not talking about a massive difference - maybe 3-5k and that will depend on how you drive.
