991 Isofix - very tight squeeze?
Discussion
Hello Gassers,
Popped my maxi cosi isofix system into the new 991 today - and it was one hell of squeeze.
Passenger seat has to be mighty forward, mrs too close to th dash for comfort.
Nipper is only 2 - so was really hoping there would be more space.
Question is - do you guys have an isofix system that 'fits' a little easier/leaves more room for the passenger/a decent amount of room for the passenger.
Anything you have used which you have been happy with would be worth a look.
Thanks

Well that's it! The 991 is a true 911 as it has now spawned a child seat fitment thread!
Anyway, we're using a Recaro Young Sport in my 996 for our 2 yr old which isn't isofix (as '02 doesn't have it) and fit's really well. We have gone away from isofix in my wife's BMW as it made our other Recaro sit too high and too far forward meaning we bumped his head getting him in and out. In addition there aren't many isofix group 2 seats around as you're coming up to the childs weight where the seats integrated straps are no longer used to restrain the child and the vehicles seatbelt goes around them instead.
Maybe start to look at non isofix seats? With some effort you can fix a chikdseat using the vehicles seatbelt really tightly which makes me feel a bit better about not having isofix.
