Chav's are now buying 911's - gutted!!
Discussion
This morning travelling North on the M1 at Luton at about 8.30 am,was a blue 996.1 with those chavvy "too bright and too blue" headlights, the ones than blind everyone all the time. Mate, it's a 911, NOT a bleedin Saxo or Corsa.Stop it at once,it looked really cr*p.Now that 911's are getting cheap, I think we need a system of ASBO's to stop tacky mods like this.

Or we could just stop worrying about what other people do, and accept it's just a car? Maybe buy a Ferrari if you don't want to be associated with the riff raff who can 'only' afford 10k on a car. This happens to any fast-ish car once it gets cheap.
I was walking through Leicester Square last night and there was a bunch of modded cars there to 'celebrate' the opening of the latest Fast & Furious film. They included two Porsches and a Lambo all lowered too much to actually run on massive chrome alloys.

'Chavs' with no taste come from all demographics, and no car is immune no matter how exclusive it is.

Should we also have a system for preventing poor punctuation in the Porsche section?Good.,:
Nothing to do with being cheap, When R8's first came out one came in to my local specialist for some modifications including a tasty £8k exhaust. Shame he had GLUED those stupid LED lights all over the engine bay and front of the car. You could actually see where the glue had dripped and dried down the bumper

Lotto winner?

Defo not xenons, those extra bright, blinding, blue bulbs that you see fitted to hatchbacks all over the place.I personally don't care what any owner does to their car,but these really did look pretty crap on a 911,and will guarantee the owner even more unwanted attention from the boys in blue.Agreed, money doesn't mean taste, and it's a free country. What I couldn't see was if he had any furry dice hanging from the rear view mirror.
It's a car at the end of the day.
Whatever anoter owner does to it that's his or her choice they have earned (or borrowed) the money so can do as they please.
What is be more concerned about that asthetics of Barry boys driving them is that if they keep having prangs in them then the risk profile of the 911 goes up so all owners.
Keep your own in whatever way you like (I personally enjoy totally standard as it left the factory originality) really look after it carry out excessive preventative maintenance or at the other end of the scale only change something when it breaks and purely top up oil never change it....

Porsche sold 52k cars in Q1 '13. Of all 991s produced 2/3 are still on the roads. That is more than half a million. Hard to be special in a Porsche nowadays. I bought a 911 as I like the build quality and the shape.
Ferrari just announced limiting production numbers to warrant exclusivity.
