I'm not mechanical minded at all,so please excuse my ignorance,but will a 2.4l engine from a rhd car fit into a lhd car?

I'm not mechanical minded at all, either, but the answer has to be "Yes, of course", surely?I would expect that LHD and RHD variants only differ from the steering wheel forward? Surely no issues with a rear engined car
