Anyone tracked a 997 turbo with a sports exhaust? Interested in the static noise test db reading before I go ahead and buy one! Particularly interested in europipe stage 1 but all comments very welcome. Cheers

I've just had my 996 turbo with Kline Innovation exhaust checked at Brands - 100.5 dB - which was below the 'quiet' limit of 102 dB. It's a pretty loud exhaust, especially under load. Another 996 turbo was going round the track with exactly the same exhaust. It had shown the same static figure as mine and was the loudest car on track that day. The bloke that measured mine said it was getting pretty close to the drive-by limit, but was still OK. 997 turbo gen 1 should be a similar story.

Static is fine, the only place I had issues was at Bedford drive by. O.K on static but under load it was too loud. Hence why Ill never go back there, waste of time and money. Not their fault but the local noise nazis.

Mine was running a Miltek.

I have a gen 1 997tt with DMS upgrade and exhaust - just scraped through the noise limit @ Spa. Not just as loud and probably not just as sweet sounding as my old C4S with PSE ......but muuuuuuuch quicker oooof !
