Dont go like a bat out of hell to start with, Let the driving consultants suss you out before you try and prove your skills.

From experience they tend to be more receptive to sideways driving if they encourage you to do it first.

If you get chance to take a pi$$ use it. I spent one session trying to hold on to one, rather than enjoing the kick plate.

Kick plate, Look at the Michelin man at the very end of the low friction surface and keep focused on that, while letting your bum twitch sort out which direction you should be traveling. I spent to long looking at the kick plate iteself, and missed out on catching the slides.

Very well organised - nice but small food - just enjoy yourself.

I was there a couple of weeks ago. Agree food was good and portions small but that was perfect. Extremely relaxed and professional. Enjoy I spent a lot of time on the handling circuit trying to develop some specific skills.

Very sound advice to drive normally around for a few laps so the instructors can assess where you are with things. Relax and enjoy.

As mentioned above, the food at the Porsche Restaurant is worth having.

The kick plate and ice road are good to drive, especially with the traction control turned off!

Be prepared to take a breathaliser test before you drive. I.e. don't binge drink the night before, or be tempted to have a drink with your lunch if you are driving in the afternoon. Enjoy the day!

They serve small portions so some of us still get in the bucket seats.

Thanks all for the info. I'll remember to take it easy...

Currently in the layby on the A43, tucking into bacon and egg roll & tea from a scabby van. Van might be tatty, but superb roll and the best £3 I have spent in a long time.

After a 5am start, I can't wait for the 8:30 Porsche bacon rolls.... nom nom nom...
