cayenne power steering

Hi guys
My first time posting on here so please take it easy on me.
Test drove a 2003 Cayenne 4.5 today with intent to buy.It had 20in turbo alloys fitted and on driving it the steering felt quite heavy.Is this normal as i was expecting it to be a little lighter.Everything else about the car was excellent but something about the steering didn`t feel right.
Any thoughts would be very much appreciated.

should not feel heavy really..what was the level in resevoir like?

These Cayennes have 2 types of steering racks : Standard and the optional (std on 955TT) speed dependant rack.
The latter gets firmer the faster you drive.
Alignment settings and tire sizes also have a lot of influence.

My 08 model year has 295/21s and seemed heavy initially but I forget about it once on the move. Salesman described it as have more feel than other cars!

unless it's servotronic, it does feel heavy at low speeds
it's supposed to
servotronic looses all feel, but is lighter at low speed
