Heated steering wheel.

Its such a cheap upgrade and makes the car so much nicer to use in the winter.

Total cost was 250 for the steering wheel and 65 quid to fit it.

Actually it cost me a little more because I bought the wrong steering wheel the first time (without multifunction)

I thought they were a total gimmick until I bought a car with one.

Like the idea, so can you advise where you had the modification undertaken? If its a kit, I'd buy it as I already have a spare 3 spoke 996 steering wheel.

I've got it on my Cayenne S. it's just one of the many things that put a smile on my face when driving this vehicle.

No kit needed. I just bought a wheel from someone on 911uk.com and it went straight on. I think some cars do need small extra part but my GEN2 PEK was a straight swap.

Does your wheel come on with the heated seats? One of mine does, the other does not. I'm wondering if it's a PIWIS job.

Heated seats and steering as retro fits spin

I was wanting a Multifunction wheel when I bought mine - are they just plug and play in to the BUS system ? ?
This thread suggests it's a simple swap. http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/997/140662-upda...

Be careful folks if Porsche marketing are watching this you'll soon see Heated wheels and Pedals available on the GT3 configurator...

I had heated seats. The wheel has a button on the back to switch it on.

Both mine have the button. However, the C2S wheel warms up without me using the button; it just comes on when I switch on the heated seat.

The C4S needs the wheel switching each time. I'll ask Porsche if they can programme it.
