997 GT2 numbers, CS versus comfort?

Anyone know the number of 997 GT2s that were CS models versus comfort?
Don't know the answer to your question but the 997GT2 was a bit different to the previous GT2 since one could order the Sports Bucket seats without the other stuff in the Clubsport package so if you want to moniker "models" then there would be three the CS, the regular GT2 ie with the specific Alcantara Sports buckets (which were originally made for this model)with matching Alcantara roof headlining and finally a "comfort" version with the regular 997 electric sports seats.Total build was about 56 UK C16 spec 997 GT2's.
Not sure on CS vs non-CS, but interestingly enough, all 997 GT2's had clubsport shells (ie: Extinguisher and cage mounts welded in beneath the carpet). So, easy to fit a pukka clubsport cage and so on if you really wanted to.
As said above, there were a few non-official CS GT2's that came from the factory with the carbon backed buckets but no cage/extinguisher etc (there is an overpriced Meteor Grey one for sale in the classifieds at the moment).

I put total C16 build numbers on here before, it wasn't 56 it was 62 IIRC.... 1 car has died (that I know of) so down to 61.
Total world production was 1261 so this car is even rarer than the Carrera GT and the PCM3 '09 models were the rarest of them all.
I like to comment on these "CS" threads as when the years tick on some people like to big up the CS thing (presumably 'cos they think it makes their cars more valuable ?) The Clubsport "package" as Porsche called it was quite simply this:

So if an owner wanted to spec his GT2 with fire retardent seats etc he ticked this box and it cost him no more money, a nice little touch from Porsche.
The idea that there are "non - official" CS GT2s is ridiculous, the "Official" GT2 spec ie the ones which they presented at the shows and in all the marketing blurb did not have bolt in roll cages they had the beautiful Alcantara buckets which Porsche designed for this model, so there are no "clubsport shells" the CS package is a GT2 with a options bolted in

Thanks for the response everyone.
TB, the numbers as far as I can work out are 75. 71 of these were registered in 2008 and 09, so the other 4 may not be GT2s.
What I don't have is the split between CS and non CS. I appreciate that the "options" were no cost, but I would have thought CS versions are going to be more valuable in future?

I can't find my original email but my number came from a reliable factory source at the end of production it is 6X (62 I'm sure - search function not working on here)
Finding the "split" will be difficult since as I tried to point out the CS Package is a few bolt in items and presumably will be given a single option code just like a paint option code.
Has anyone else had the recall from Porsche in the last few weeks?
Mine's been called in "to rework the routing of the exhaust temperature sensorline".
Mine was delivered in July 08 so is probably one of the early cars. It doesn't have the nav or phone module but has the pcm screen, I think it has the useful interior options delete option M04483

So add the bolt ins and yours would be more CS than most all "real" CSs

I did think that, would be a great angle if I ever sell it. No nav and phone could become "CS prepared interior audio/comms from the factory" - got to be worth an extra couple of grand.

Having just had a bit of a clear out I am currently on the hunt for one.. Funny as I too am drawn to c/s as opposed to comfort but guess they are pretty much the same car.
For me more of an issue is colour but saying that think cars condition/history etc is paramount. God they look good in black though! Red too! But white suits a GT....
If anyone is thinking of selling please ping me..If I ask what colour don't tell me!
They do look good in black, a mate took this superb photo of mine at Silverstone a few weeks back:For me more of an issue is colour but saying that think cars condition/history etc is paramount. God they look good in black though! Red too! But white suits a GT....

Good luck with the search, someone has first refusal on mine if I sell it!

Being a total geek on these matters I specced my GT2 to be as light as possible so I could get the maximum GT2ness out of it.
Interestingly for the GT2 Porsche quoted DIN weight of 1440 to 1525kg depending on equipment which was/is uncharacteristically honest of them in this area.
My only "extra" was the PCM and mine came in DIN on the scales at 1465kg (bizarrely with my lightweight wheels mine is as light as a "thoroughly" specced GT2RS !)
Yours is possibly even lighter and would make the ultimate (and quite unique with the M04483) "Clubsport" GT2

So, given that my car has very few options would it weigh roughly 1440 + the weight of the adaptive sports seats? Not sure what they weigh but I'm guessing they'll add a lot to the total.Interestingly for the GT2 Porsche quoted DIN weight of 1440 to 1525kg depending on equipment which was/is uncharacteristically honest of them in this area.

I checked the over rev report the other day and mine hasn't hit the limiter in the last 200 hours, really not trying hard enough

so its 64 GT2s less the one sans engine....There is another post with the split PCM2 and PCM3 somewhere..

That's it, was right first time
Just to contrast with the Black one, a white one, can't wait for the cold, rain and snow to disappear so I can take this thing out, not sure about all the fuss over PCM 3 vs 2.1, I've tried both and don't mind either, Extended Nav on 2.1 (took less than 30 seconds to work it out) is fine as is Bose, barely ever switch it on anyway, got the car to experience the monster performance not play with PCM System, or play with phone Bluetooth, apart from that tyre noise drowns most of everything out anyway!!!

Hi Toby
So called "ClubSport" option has a code by Porsche:
I003 Racing safety devices
there is also another option:
IXSM Racing safety cage
which means full roll-cage mounted to body shell by factory, I am not sure if all 997GT2 have such a preparation in floor for front / rear roll-cage mounts.
It would be interesting to know how many (worldwide) 997GT2 were ordered with I003 option - ClubSport vs. Non CS. I have read somewhere that it was only 30% of customers that have chose this no-cost option (not available for USA, Canada and Mexico markets). If this is a true, I guess IXSM option would be most rare ordered option
