I removed one of my headlight assemblies to change a bulb. I put it back without any problems but am now getting a lot of warnings suggesting some kind of electrical failure. The car will not start, the rear spoiler has come up, both windows have come down and will only go half way back up. The car has been running fine. Is there some kind of electrical reset? Any suggestions will be very welcome.

I assume removing the headlight unit again doesn't help?
Possibly an electrical short if the plug hasn't seated correctly?
It's a long shot, but worth the 2 min test before those with an encyclopaedic knowledge turn up :-)

Morning.

Removing headlight and changing a bulb should not cause this if its been put back correctly.

Like the other bloke said, remove and recheck and replace and try again. Can't see what you could do wrong though as the connection for the headlight is on a runner and just slides in. Maybe some debris caught in between?

I have had my headlights in and out many times with no issues. Did you disconnect the battery? I never have when I have removed them.

Probably trapped a wire.

Remove head light and inspect.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I have been out all morning and haven't done anything but the car has just started as normal. It is going for an MOT on Monday so will get them them to take a look. I had left the car on a conditioning charger when I removed the headlight, so I wonder if this was the problem?

Pedro.
