Had the Spyder for two weeks now and well pleased so far. So fired her up this morning and leant on the horn by mistake! guess what it wouldn't go off had no option but to turn off ignition and carefully ease it back out with a thin plastic lever, tried it again and yep stuck on. So how do I get the horn push/airbag out to see whats going on. Disconnect the battery and leave for 10mins but I cannot see any access hole in the shroud to disengage it, PDK with flappy paddles, any ideas. Do not have extended warranty so would like to sort myself.

Simple fix, mentioned here recently on a couple of other spyders including mine.

Took to garage, who applied some grease in the appropriate place and it is now sorted. I believe doing it DIY, you need to consider taking power source to airbag away as a precaution.

Believe the others had a simple fix as per mine and it has proved an effective.

Hi

I've had this very same thing at a set of traffic lights. I resorted to bashing the Steering wheel hard!

Known issue apparently and due to under use. My local OPC said to go to a quite spot and give the horn a good work out smile

I bet they did, f'nar, f'nar.

Mojo is only enhanced by driving special edition Boxster though...

Same happened to me - twice. Took it to OPC under warranty and had it 'fixed'. Issue came back a few months later when out of warranty. Told OPC to sort it pronto, as they had clearly failed to properly resolve the issue first time, it's an MOT failure and therefore technically makes the car unroadworthy.

They sorted it for free. Impressed.

Oh! I've just re-read what I typed.... biggrin

Done in all innocence.

I think my horn is now fixed but it's been quite few months and I've seen nothing to arouse a passionate response smile
