I have a 2003 996 C2 and I would like to protect the radiators by placing grills over the open air entry ducts in lower part of the front bumper/valance.

Can anyone point me to an after market product for these vents or a good DIY solution?

I have just cleaned out a lot of leaves and other debris from the rads and can see this as a continuing problem.

Thanks

Be aware the grill will not keep the little stuff out and this will build up and when wet will lead to corrosion. I dare say more condensers are replaced due to holing from corrosion than holing from something hitting the condenser.

Any radiator replaced is due to corrosion since the radiator sits behind the condenser.

So the grill will give you a false sense of security the ducts are free of trash when they are not. The trash is just not as visible.

My 997.2 Turbo just had the central radiator replaced because of stone damage - £884 repair cost.

I want to add grills but apparently it would void my warranty!

I have taken off the front valance to get a closer look at the rads and there was a lot of junk between the air con and side rads. However, the centre rad was pretty clean, but it is fairly new. What I have noticed on the centre rad are a quite a few dents which must have come from stones or other large debris. I have therefore decided to put a grill over the centre hole. On the side rads it's the air con rads that will take the first hit and in turn protect the cooling system.

Thanks for the link to the bespoke grills.
