Sensibly Priced 996 turbo from RPM -
Discussion
This looks fantastic value from RPM. Some interesting cars from thier px direct section.
If I was in the market this would be high on the list, wonder how long it will be around at that price

It looks fairly decent, doesn't it? You'd have to have the conversation with them about how much it'd cost to get it up to a high standard and compare against one of their prepared cars. If I was in the market this would be high on the list, wonder how long it will be around at that price

What happened to yours BTW - sold it, or just waiting a few weeks for me to get my act together? ;-)
I haven't looked at the advert yet but from your comments I'd suggest that whilst it may cost less than the normal retail price for someone to buy it and then prep it properly, that isn't the same as a reputable dealer being able to do so and still make a sensible profit margin to cover his time, trouble and risk. So it benefits both parties, the buyer is ultimately getting a good well prep'd car for a decent price, the dealer's not open to much liability and is happy to make a small margin for the lower risk. If they have a workshop in-house they will of course be making money from that side of things too.
Right, I'll get round to reading the ad now

It seems a reaaly good car but the mileage for a car of this category is a bit high. It is very cheap but given the mileage it will probably have to be kept a long time.
really? but its less than 7k miles a year right? seems a peach in that spec, mileage etc, and even though its from thier PX direct division you are still covered by trading standards etc if it turns out to be a lemonEdited by metsta on Saturday 2nd March 17:57
When compared to the 996 Turbo 9E were selling at the end of last year, this car doesn't look good value to me.
The 9E car had the factory 450 upgrade, it was a year younger and had cover less than half the mileage of RPM's car. In addition, it had a new clutch, brakes, tyres and a full 9 e prep. From memory, it was retailed at £27,500.
The only negative (for some) were the engine mods however, these could have been reversed.

do you mean the silver one?? sure it had 73k on the clock back in 2011 per the advert/service history, so when it was up last year im sure it was higher? also the aero kit and spolier is a personal taste thing, rear spoiler replaced on a turbo because why? answers on a postcard. nice car but id still go with the black manual one from RPM. For me at least, black is the colour.
