Morning all.

Just wondered if anyone knew the history of this car:

http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/p...

Waiting to hear back from the dealer on servicing etc.

Clubsport a big plus for me, but am I better off looking at one of the OPC non clubsport cars for the warranty and mileage benefits?

If I've identified the car correctly then I have a good idea of it's history up to about 2 years ago or so - I can't help you much with more recent details but would be very happy to answer any questions that I can. Please PM me and we can take it from there....

I will PM you when I am able, apparently new members have to wait 24 hours. Thanks for your response!

Why not share with us all ? I'm sure the op is not the only one looking smile.

Assuming you're ok to share info..

my only advice would be unless you really know what you are looking at - get an independent check done (i used Peter Morgan but many others out there who offer similar service)

you will probably find out that its a great car ....or you may not!

Awesome. I can't believe you've already achieved the most useless post of the year award and it's only February!

Why is that useless? Surely good advice for a newcomer to make sure they aware of the importance of an inspection?

I think that's a bit strong, and is exactly the reason some people are reluctant to post on here. The guy is only trying to help.

Just because someone's made 6 thousand odd posts doesn't mean they've got anything interesting or useful to say.........

so telling him to get an independent inspection is not good advice in your opinion?

Outside of the Porsche network there are three dealers I would buy from this is one and this car almost has half the mileage..

I would have had a serious look at this had I not spent my children's school fees buying a gen 2

Thanks for the advice. I think a lower mileage one is probably going to be a better bet.

Two questions, would a clubsport be too extreme for daily road use and secondly does anyone have any experience of 911virgins bug price? Worthwhile spending the difference on an OPC warranty?

Think I owned this from Jan 11 to Jan 12, bought from Tom Hartley, took it to OPC in Guildford, check done, 2 year Porsche Warranty put on it, all servicing etc in my time of ownership done at OPC Guildford. Great car only reason I sold it was I bought an RS.
