Any body know if the OEM side skirts on a 968 will fit perfect to a 944?

No. Deutsche 9 do a proper version for 944. Most people don't like them as they're seen as trying to hide rusty sills.

There was one car that used 968 skirts pop riveted on. Will look for a pic later.

No not easily. You have to cut the bottom of the front wings and the front of the rear wheel arch to get the 968 version anywhere near flush. You also have to either bond them on or weld fixings because the 944 does not have any. A well known former owner in 944 circles tried it in the picture below but even he disliked what he achieved and wished he hadn't bothered.

I think the above pic shows that it just doesn't look right. A mess in fact.

If you are intent on improving the looks, spend the money on paint if it needs it and maybe some cup wheels which suit the 944.

Didnt Fen end up screwing them on? Better to have cut away the mounting castelations and bond them on - that way theyd have been smooth and flush without the screwheads...

968s have recessed sills panels which have indentations in for the sill trim mountings. Try to fit an original 968 sill trim to a 944 and it will be held proud by these and youll have to butcher them.
