Hi all, am considering buying a 996Tt which is still under OPC warranty for a few months.

Are there any major issues that are not covered by the Porsche warranty ? Anything I should check in relation to the warranty ? Any thoughts appreciated.

Thanks!

My understanding is anything that could wear is not covered.

I believe this extends to suspension arms also.

Don't assume the car is perfect and wants for nothing because it has an OPC warranty.

A lot of the usual costs won't be covered by warranty due to being wearable parts; brakes, clutch, suspension, battery, tyres, rads. These alone cost thousands should you be unlucky and these are falling due, so check the wearable bits carefully or get it inspected. These cars are not cheap to run with or without warranty. Major bits are meant to be generally reliable. If the car you are looking at only has a few months OPC warranty left it may not give you much cover, but at least you know the current owner has been covered and would have had any majors put right under his ownership. Good luck
