Having taken the decision to buy another cabriolet I am leaning towards a 968 cab. Having test driven one last week I found it to be more skittish than I have been used to and I was wondering what one was like to live with and what I should look for before purchase.

968 skittish? One of the best balanced chassis (plural?) cars around and it's skittish?
Something is either up with the car or you drive like an action film hero biggrin

What I mean't was that the car tested was a 968 cabriolet and it seemed to suffer from more scuttle shake than
I have been used to in previous soft tops. The gar does need work but are these cars prone to a lot of suttle shake and what else should I look for prior to purchase.

I drove a couple of 968 Cabs in the '90s and recall being disappointed.

Thought they looked superb at the time, but not an entirely successful conversion from the coupe. There is notable scuttle shake, more rattles, buzzes and creaks, and the handling is not as tight as the coupe.

By comparison, the subsequently launched Boxster was a revelation.
