Hi,
Ordered a 991 in October and now been informed April delivery. That is 2 months more than indicated at time of order. Anyone else been have to wait for about 6 months for a made to order 991? Are there ways of jumping the queue?
Be worth the wait though you won't regret it and it's a great time of year to take delivery, be July before you know it !!Ordered a 991 in October and now been informed April delivery. Delivery of my last car was wildly inaccurate in terms of production estimate. I spoke to the dealer 1 week for an update and then the next week, was passing and dropped in and it had been delivered the night before. I'm not saying that this will happen with you, more that the accuracy of the timings is not bankable. Ordered a 991 in October and now been informed April delivery. Bizarre. I custom ordered in May and specified deviating stitching on all seams. Took delivery 6 weeks later.
They must be selling many more now than then (or have reduced production capacity).
Same here. I ordered mine May 4th, took delivery June 20th. I didn't have many options though. They must be selling many more now than then (or have reduced production capacity).
Story is that for the OPC has certain build slots spread over the year, so especially last year when they did not sell too many you were up for a slot quite quickly. My order is for a LHD and therefore at the end of the queue. Wanted to see what status is for people that just ordered RHD to compare. It is true the production has been reduced

I was told that they have indeed reduced production, however, this was said in response to an enquiry for a used 991 and hence would therefore make the 991 much rarer and more expensive as a used option...
I was told exactly the same 2 months ago by someone quite high up at Porsche GB! Gassing Station | Porsche General | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
